Senior Life/Annuity Market Conduct Examiner
Summary
The Senior Market Conduct Examiner will assist the Examiner-in-Charge in ensuring a successful completion of Market Conduct Examinations in accordance with the procedures and processes developed by ER, the NAIC, contracting states and the federal government, as applicable.
Key Requirements
- Conduct examination reviews of, but not limited to, Operations/Management; Marketing/Sales; Underwriting/Rating; Policyholder Service; Claims; Complaint Handling; and Producer Licensing.
- Ensure accurate and organized work papers are prepared in accordance with the instructions provided by the Examiner-in-Charge and in the NAIC Market Regulation Handbook and procedures of state and federal government, as applicable.
- Complete detailed entries in TeamMate throughout the examination; follow-up on all review notes as needed.
- Work with the EIC to ensure the examination stays on schedule and budget.
- Adhere to all the requirements detailed in ER’s Employee Handbook.
- Obtain continuing education, as required, for all credentials and designations.
Required Qualifications:
- Three+ years regulatory or insurance company compliance experience.
- Strong knowledge of Life and/or Annuity Lines of Business.
- College degree, or equivalent experience required In-depth knowledge of standards and processes in the NAIC’s Market Regulation Handbook.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- MCM insurance designations
- CIE or AIE designations
- Other insurance industry designations such as FLMI, CLU, or AIRC.
- Experience with examination software TeamMate and ACL.
